WHAT IS AN ECOCASH MERCHANT?
An EcoCash Merchant is any organisation (for profit/non-profit) that receives payments for goods or services offered through the EcoCash platform. A Merchant usually deals with over the counter sales.
HOW DO I BECOME AN ECOCASH MERCHANT?
Simply download a Merchant application form or visit your nearest Econet shop. Once the form is complete and all requirements ready, contact the EcoCash department for vetting and contracts.

How does a Merchant withdraw their money from their Merchant wallet?
1. The merchant can approach any EcoCash Agent to cash out from their e–wallets
2. Corporates can issue an instruction to Econet to make a transfer to their bank account
ECOCASH QR SCAN & PAY
All merchants can now get paid faster and all EcoCash customers can now make quicker payments with EcoCash QR Scan and Pay. Transactions now take seconds not minutes with or without a POS machine! All your customers have to do is scan, pay and go using the QR Pay function on the EcoCash app.
How customers SCAN & pay
- Log on to EcoCash mobile app
- Select “Make payment” option, then “QR Pay”
- Scan QR code to make payment
- Enter amount to pay
- Enter EcoCash pin
- Receive payment confirmation and new wallet balance
